The document sets out the requirements of the council for ensuring all meetings are held in accessible locations and run in ways that are inclusive, wherever it is reasonable and practicable to do so.
Importantly, it includes a simple checklist of key “Deal Breakers” that must be met to run any meeting which is supported by detailed specialist advice for meeting organisers to dip into and use as they see fit.
Also available is an assessment of the council’s own venues to assist anyone locally and at North Somerset Council who is running a meeting.
