Publication date: 2009
A self-assessment tool originally for NHS services to see what to
do to be “young people friendly” and more appropriate to the needs
of young people, as detailed in the NHS quality criteria. The toolkit
aided services to rate their level of achievement in relation to the
You’re Welcome quality criteria and action plan for reviewing,
maintaining or improving the level of service.
Once approved, a local service could display the ‘You’re Welcome’ certificate of recognition to demonstrate that the service is young person friendly.
Primary care trusts and local service commissioners would have been able to use the ‘You’re Welcome’ quality assurance process to moderate services that have completed the ‘You’re Welcome’ self-assessment tool. Designed to assist service providers and commissioners to support local service commissioning.
Now withdrawn new guidance was to have been issued in March 2011.
