Disability Portfolio
Publication date: 2003
Ranking: useful
The Disability Portfolio is a collection of 12 access guides. They were produced originally to meet the growing need for more detailed advice on access for disabled people in the light of the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1996.
They focused on how best to meet the needs of disabled people as users and staff in museums, archives and libraries. Though many of the subjects have since been covered in more detail they still offer invaluable advice, information and guidance to help overcome barriers and follow what is still in many cases good practice.
