Article discusses issues for people with unseen impairments who may need a seat on public transport with reference to the new Transport for London badge scheme. They are issuing badges that say, “Please offer me a seat”. The badges aim to encourage others to offer up their seat who may not appear to be disabled and in a trial programme was judged 75% successful by users in 2016.
It highlights the problems for people with unseen disabilities and the way they can be judged. A comparison is made to the American experience.
