This report looks at a US survey of older people, younger Millennials and Boomers to find out where they would want to live and why.

The survey showed:

  • More than 70% of people over 50 wanted to stay in their neighbourhood and not move.
  • 7 out of 10 city dwellers intended staying put ’til they were past 80.
  • All generations want access to good healthcare
  • 60% believe it will be easier to meet people in a city.

For more information about the suitability of US housing to meet these needs see this CityLab article.
