The design issues in this story may not be immediately obvious except to say the it focuses on the people who are often communicating the information and issues which we are all reading, watching or hearing about. Their view of the world and their interpretation is relevant in relation to use of language, images and the editorial or artistic control.
As such it is important background to accessible information policies, the provision of alternative formats and recognition of the need for provision for Deaf people or other alternative languages.
