Designing for Diversity
Welcome to the home of physical access design guidance.
Our website provides design guidance on how to meet the needs of a range of equality groups. Our objective is a truly inclusive built environment.
The site offers a range of technical guidance, research from around the world and primarily UK government policy. It also includes research papers and comment from design professionals and importantly, the people using these their designs.
Download our guide on how to design for the diverse communities that we all live in.
Here’s a few blogs of organisations we quite like. We’ll add some more, or let us have your suggestions.
Design Council “Design Council’s purpose is to make life better by design.”
Housing LIN “…Innovative housing solutions for an ageing population.”
BBC Ouch! – Disabled people’s views on the world of disability
News and Opinion from the Design Council
In the meantime…
We’d love to hear what you think about the site, any of the content or suggestions for new posts.
